Squier Retreat

The Squier Retreat is an annual event inspired by emeritus psychology Professor Les Squier (1953-88) when Reed students and psychology professors gather for a field trip to create community and to engage in serious exploration of ideas and just have fun. Currently, the Squier Retreat takes place for one-day outing at the Alton L. Collins Retreat Center in Eagle Creek, Oregon.

"High on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River, 32 Reed students, sophomores to seniors, gather with 8 psychology professors on a Saturday morning for the 13th annual Squier Retreat at Menucha, a retreat center in the Columbia Gorge. Through Sunday afternoon, students and faculty will explore serious ideas and have fun."
