Prof. Julie Fry wins a second major grant this year.
Prof. Julie Fry [chemistry and environmental studies 2008–] has won a $163,000 grant from the the National Science Foundation program for a three-year collaborative project. Partnering with Prof. James Smith at UC Irvine, Fry will undertake a project titled "Collaborative Research: Atmospheric Nanoparticle Growth from NO3 Radical Initiated Oxidation of Monoterpenes." The total award amount for both Reed and Irvine is $622,000.
This is the second grant that Fry has been awarded this academic year. In August 2017, she received a $60k Teacher-Scholar from the Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation for her committed work with undergraduate students.
