Description: Damage to Property
Location: West Lot

Notes: A CSO on patrol in the West Lot encountered a vehicle with a shattered driver side window. Nothing inside the vehicle appeared to have been disturbed. The CSO taped over the window to protect the vehicle's interior from the weather.

Location: Birchwood Apartments

Notes: Dispatch received an email from a Reed staff member reporting that the network equipment closet in the Birchwood apartments had been broken into and vandalized. The report stated that the door had been forced open and network equipment had been unplugged, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Description: Medical Assist - Other
Location: Art

Notes: CSOs responded to a request for medical assistance in the Art building. The CSOs met with Reed faculty and staff, one of whom had received a minor injury while using a hatchet. After a short discussion and inspection of the injury, it was agreed upon that further medical care was warranted. A faculty assistant took the injured party to a nearby medical facility for further medical care. Building Services was called for biohazard clean up.

Description: Graffiti
Location: Sullivan Residence Hall

Notes: A CSO on patrol of Sullivan Residence Hall encountered new graffiti on a tree east of the building. Grounds has been contacted for removal of the graffiti.

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
